KordaMentha has helped to raise valuable funds in order to provide palliative care and support for children with life limiting illnesses and their families.
KordaMentha Sydney has devised its own event - the Stair Challenge - which is a team event, where KordaMentha participants run as many sets of the Woolloomooloo stairs as they can in half an hour. Over the last five years, KordaMentha has raised over $50,000.
In addition to providing palliative care facilities for children, Bear Cottage contains the amenities of a comfortable home, with 10 children's bedrooms, family accommodation and a quiet room. There are also areas for recreation including a spa room, multi-sensory room and teens' room. Families do not pay to stay at Bear Cottage.
Bear Cottage was established entirely by the community and continues to rely on the community for funding.
This year, the Stair Challenge will be held on September 5 with a goal to raise $20,000. Read more or make a donation.
