Bill has been active in various aspects of the real estate finance industry for nine years, primarily focused on real estate debt, real estate funds management and asset stabilisation.

He has extensive knowledge of real estate fundamentals, from both a debt and equity perspective, having spent time working in real estate debt securitisation and mortgage security trading in the United States and real estate funds management in Australia. Having previously practised as a solicitor in Sydney, Bill has a considered approach and brings with him to situations a well-rounded awareness of relevant issues.

Bill comes to KordaMentha from MFS/Octaviar (GM – real estate funds) where he was primarily focused on Australian real estate funds management and the structuring of investment vehicles for institutional and retail investors. In this role Bill was also actively involved with the stabilisation of distressed property assets, conducting portfolio asset sales programs and the hands on management of going concern businesses through periods of parent company corporate distress. The common objective of these projects was to maximise values and in turn realise this value by way of orderly and considered sales strategies. Working closely with insolvency practitioners on these projects Bill has gained firsthand experience as a corporate client allowing him a thorough appreciation of client requirements and expectations.

Bill brings to the group valuable experience in the management of complex situations, managing teams of professionals with the common goal of extracting maximum asset value.
