Sally joined KordaMentha in January 2010 and specialises in disputes and financial investigations. Sally has over eleven years’ experience in forensic accounting in Australia and the UK, and has also undertaken a secondment to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).


Sally's experience includes:

  • Financial investigations relating to anti-avoidance proceedings by the Australian Tax Office.
  • Quantification of damages in a range of industries, including transport, infrastructure, healthcare and retail.
  • Valuation of a range of businesses, including a large portfolio of hotels, the business and goodwill associated with an entity which operates Australia’s largest international airport, and the shares in two diversified companies with operations in Fiji and Papua New Guinea in the context of a taxation dispute.
  • A high profile inquiry in the UK into allegations of illegal payments made in relation to player transfers in the English Football Premier League.

Significant Engagements

  • Assessment of damages arising from breach of contract in a failed major transport project.
  • Analysis and reconstruction of a series of loans and transactions in anti-avoidance proceedings between a group of companies and the Commissioner of Taxation.
  • Assessment of damages payable in an intellectual property dispute regarding an advertisement which was found to be misleading and deceptive.
  • Secondment to ASIC assisting with a financial investigation into the collapse of a large listed company, including undertaking examinations under s19 of the ASIC Act.
