Objectives
KordaMentha’s Performance Improvement team was asked to partner with the Executive Team in designing and delivering a financial performance improvement program to strengthen the organisation’s foundation for the post-reform world.
An ambitious improvement target greater than $50m was set to be delivered over two financial years, in particular addressing group support and other non-frontline activities, alongside targeting revenue capture and growth.
Our approach
Our team set up a targeted diagnostic to get a deep understanding of the drivers of financial performance, opportunity areas for growth, and priority areas for improvement. We established governance for transparency, accountability and rapid decision-making to drive the program.
We partnered with executive leaders in each part of the organisation to scope and plan financial improvements, leveraging all available levers – driving volumes, considering pricing and commercial arrangements, and optimising costs.
Outcomes acheived
The program successfully delivered the ambitious improvement target over two financial years. The results achieved have been sustained through the transition of financial and commercial capability to the organisation as we transitioned out.
