KordaMentha is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Eekhof as a Partner in the firm’s growing Cybersecurity & Technology practice.

With more than two decades experience in cybersecurity consulting and management, Mr Eekhof is a trusted advisor to senior executives, boards and governments on security governance, risk management and mitigation, architecture and strategy development and implementation.

He has led security teams across a range of industries, including financial services, utilities, healthcare, telecommunications, education, government and defence, both in Australia and overseas.

KordaMentha’s head of corporate services, Chris Martin, said Mr Eekhof’s appointment would position the firm as a leader in cybersecurity advisory.
“For organisations, increasing cybersecurity awareness, resilience and ongoing risk management is critical as the threat landscape continues to evolve,” said Mr Martin.

“Eric brings the right combination of strong technological expertise, business knowledge and a commitment to finding innovative solutions to enable to our practice to meet growing demand for expert advice and services.”

Mr Eekhof joins KordaMentha from Pitcher Partners, where he was Head of Security and successfully established a new cybersecurity consulting practice.

He has also worked in senior roles at NAB, NBN, AusNet Services and the defence industries group BAE Systems.

Mr Eekhof holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Melbourne Business School and a Computer Science degree from the University of Rotterdam, as well relevant security, architecture, project management and IT certifications.

Mr Eekhof will be based in KordaMentha’s Melbourne office.
