Sophie Gibbons

Sophie supports organisations to achieve material, measurable performance improvement. She works alongside Boards and Executive when value is on the line to:

Her absolute focus is on successful implementation. With depth of experience working alongside Boards, senior government leaders and executive leadership on their most ambitious and complex transformation agendas, Sophie has a track record of results on performance turnarounds, mergers and acquisitions.

Most recently, Sophie has worked alongside the Vice Chancellor and CFO/COO of a regional Australian university, leading the delivery of their strategic plan to reposition and achieve growth. She previously supported VCBS UK to set up to deliver their strategy in a challenging market and acted as the co-Administrator of South Australia's largest public healthcare network to deliver an ambitious turnaround of end to end financial, operational and cultural measures.

Significant engagements

• Co-led the implementation of a regional university's Strategic Plan to recover the business alongside the VC and CFO/COO, implementing c.$20m of recurring financial improvement whilst establishing critical new revenue streams and business capability
• Co-Administrator of the turnaround of the Central Adelaide Local Health Network, a $2.2 billion public healthcare organisation targeting an ambitious performance improvement agenda across financial, operational and cultural measures (performance turnaround)
• New Zealand crown entity transformation (government legislated transformation programme, strategy execution, affordability analysis)
• Australia TAFE merger business case (strategy design, merger valuation, implementation planning)
• New Zealand government new entity establishment (service design, operating model design, costing analysis, legislative approval process).
