About
Alaine McLisky is a Director in our Financial Crime team, bringing over 18 years of experience navigating complex legislative landscapes and developing compliant, practical solutions for both government and industry.
Alaine is an expert in financial crime, corruption prevention, and administrative compliance, and has contributed to significant government investigations and litigation.
Alaine has held leadership positions across both the Australian State and Federal Government. She has worked internationally with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Thailand. She has also held roles in the corporate sector in New Zealand.

Significant Engagements
- Training and Project Manager, AMLHUB, Auckland New Zealand, March 2024 – December 2024: Developing and rolling out the e-learning products across New Zealand in a new in-product platform on AML/CFT Compliance in New Zealand. Developing products for both Australia and New Zealand to support AML/CTF compliance for caproate clients. Developing relationships and entry points into the Australian market.
- Assistant Director, Enforcement 3, Legal and Enforcement, Australian AUSTRAC, March 2023 – March 2024: Spearheaded a team of investigators to identify and mitigate financial crime risks across 370 businesses within Australia. Developed a high-performing team and leading them through a time of significant change.
- Assistant Director, Regulatory Development, Regulatory Operations, AUSTRAC, 2021 – 2022: Developed and implemented a comprehensive skills development and training program for the Regulatory Obligations Branch, including AML/CTF, Risk and Compliance, sections compliance, and leadership. Delivered live training courses to 91 per cent of Regulatory Operations staff on-boarded in 2022 and 62 per cent of ongoing staff.
