Mayuri Kain
About
Mayuri is an Executive Director in our Restructuring practice, specialising in public sector advisory.
Having worked both within the public sector, and advising public sector agencies for over two decades, she brings a unique lens to public policy and finance challenges. Mayuri has worked with a range of government agencies including in finance, environment, trade, service delivery and national security sectors.
Mayuri is values-driven and understands how outcomes are achieved in government. She is a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA) a strong advocate for combining quantitative data with qualitative measures, and demonstrates excellent judgement in her advice to clients, drawing on her expertise in funding, cost reform, and reporting.

Significant Engagements
- Developed enterprise-wide strategy and program delivery strategies for a range of government clients across environment, trade and national security agencies. These have involved current state assessments, financial and performance analysis, identification of improvement initiatives and developing implementation pathways for clients
- Financial sustainability reviews and funding bids, involving analysis of expenditure against agency functions and activities, identification of alternate revenue streams including cost recovery, and forecasting cost pressures to help clients secure additional funding, streamline operations and achieve a sustainable footing
- Whole of government cost reviews, including for Commonwealth procurement administration and Australia's trade clearance activities
