About

Paul is a Partner within KordaMentha’s Defence and National Security team. He has specialised in developing public sector commercial strategies and the provision of procurement and contracting advice to clients for more than 15 years. He has advised Border Force, Deakin University, Air Force Training Group (AFTG), Joint Logistics Command (JLC), Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), Army (AHQ), Defence Digital Group (DDG) and Security and Estate Group (SEG).

Paul has deep experience in Australian Government complex procurement and contracting, developing Commercial Service Delivery Models, Contract Management and Integrated Logistic Support. He is experienced in demand analysis, workforce analysis, developing Acquisition Strategies, leading and supporting Defence approaches to market, tender evaluation, source selection, and leading contract negotiations. He routinely provides project management, risk management, quality management, stakeholder engagement and reform services for his government clients. He is a qualified Defence Supply Officer.

His experience includes the preparation of analytical, verbal and written briefings and reports for senior members of Defence and Defence Industry. Paul has worked extensively with CASG Commercial Division (Non-material Procurement Branch, Material Procurement Branch, Contestability, Performance Based Contracting Cell), each Service Group and Defence Legal.

Paul is a Colonel in the Army reserves and a recipient of a Defence Support Services Gold Commendation.
