About

Suzanne is a partner in KordaMentha’s Performance Improvement team and serves as our Queensland Managing Partner.

With over 30 years as a Chartered Accountant and with C-Suite operational experience, she specialises in working alongside her public and not-for-profit clients to diagnose and address financial sustainability issues in complex and sensitive situations.

Suzanne draws on her deep experiences that span national policy, strategy, governance, financial management, risk management, and operational excellence to support her ability to digest large and complex risks and issues and drive desired outcomes. Suzanne has developed an ability to take a strategic, operational and transactional perspective which supports her ability to analyse problems and formulate effective turnaround strategies.

When working with stakeholders, Suzanne draws on a strong evidence base to deliver an independent perspective with an empathetic and collaborative style. This approach has served her well in navigating large, complex, and sensitive challenges.

Significant Engagements

  • Led multiple financial sustainability reviews for Commonwealth agencies with both policy and service delivery responsibilities
  • Interim General Manager for the Queensland business of a national resource recovery business (nine months)
  • Project Director, assessment of Queensland hospital and health service’s transition readiness and plans for autonomy
  • Responsible for strategy and operation of the Queensland vocational education market operations, including oversight of TAFE Qld and Central Qld University
  • Supported a Vice Chancellor in leading through financial turnaround, including oversight of the turnaround program
  • Led a financial sustainability program for a large public and private health service provider
  • Lead Governance and Risk advisor to public and private hospital and health services, Queensland government department and several large or multinational clients
