Peter Stevens Motorcycles, Australia’s largest privately owned motorcycle distributor, entered voluntary administration in May 2025.

The group included some of the country’s most recognised motorcycle retail brands, including Harley Heaven. We were appointed as voluntary administrators and led a successful restructuring and sale process.

How we helped

Objectives

The primary objective was to preserve the legacy of Peter Stevens Motorcycles while securing the future of its brands, employees, and customers. KordaMentha aimed to maintain trading operations, minimise losses, and deliver a sustainable outcome for all stakeholders.

Our Approach

We worked collaboratively with shareholders, banks, floorplan providers, and landlords to ensure continued trading during the administration. A competitive sale process was pursued, balancing financial, commercial, and social priorities. Trusted relationships with major lenders provided the time and confidence needed to pursue the right outcome.

Outcomes acheived

The transaction resulted in the acquisition of key assets by ASX-listed MotorCycle Holdings Limited and Joe Rascal Group. This secured the future of the brands across Australia, enabled stores to remain open, and retained over 200 jobs. Losses to customers and suppliers were minimised, and the legacy of Peter Stevens Motorcycles was preserved.

This successful restructuring reflects our commitment to delivering sustainable solutions that protect value, preserve employment, and maintain community connections. We thank all parties involved for their collaboration and support, including Consumer Affairs Victoria and transport departments across multiple states for their pragmatic assistance.
