Since 2011, KordaMentha have supported Bear Cottage, New South Wales' only children's hospice.
Since 2011 KordaMentha employees have lent their support to Bear Cottage.
As New South Wales’ only children’s hospice, Bear Cottage is open to families with children suffering from a terminal or life-limiting condition, providing both parents and children with respite from the hospital environment, while remaining connected to the significant medical resources of the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network.
The facility offers paediatric and palliative care 24 hours a day, while providing a comforting and relaxed environment at the cottage for families in need of some time-out and support.
KordaMentha has helped raise more than $250,000 for the families who stay at the facility. This vital funding goes towards supporting new and existing programs, as well as enabling special events to take place at the cottage.
In addition to raising funds, KordaMentha staff contribute to the continuation of Bear Cottage through volunteering their time, in recognition of the truly unique and inspiring role that the cottage staff play in the lives of sick children and their families.
Whether it’s raking leaves at the cottage on the weekend, wrapping presents and making cards at Christmas time or simply helping with the upkeep of the cottage, the KordaMentha volunteers are humbled to be able to give their time to such a meaningful cause.
