Tuesday, 20 June 2017 We are pleased to announce that Jane Ayers, Manager in our Perth office, has been awarded the 2017 International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) WA Rising Star Award. The award recognises and celebrates the efforts of an individual who has demonstrated a commitment to improving gender equality in the insolvency and restructuring industry. The panel of judges, made up of insolvency partners, legal practice partners and a Supreme Court Judge, were particularly impressed with Jane’s career and her contributions towards promoting gender diversity within the industry and the wider community. When receiving the award, Jane announced she would donate the prize money to the Financial Toolbox, a series of workshops designed to provide financial literacy to women in Western Australia. “The Financial Toolbox is a really great program designed to equip women with greater financial power through knowledge. Giving women financial stability and independence is something I feel very passionate about, and am proud to support.” Following the success of the workshops in metropolitan areas, a regional sub-committee was set up to make the Financial Toolbox workshops available to women in rural and regional areas of Western Australia. “Having grown up in rural WA, joining the rural and regional sub-committee has allowed me to contribute to something close to my heart.” Subscribe
