Wednesday, 5 July 2023 KordaMentha has announced a new leader of its Forensic team. From July 1, Matthew Fleming commenced as the Forensic Service Line Leader, with Sally Davitt as deputy leader. Matt Fleming has extensive forensic investigative experience across Asia Pacific, with an emphasis on factual cross-border and multi-jurisdictional investigations. Matt was the firm’s leader in Singapore and Jakarta for four years, before returning to Australia two years ago. He has been with KordaMentha for 12 years. Before KordaMentha, he spent 10 years in international consulting. Before that, he had a career in law enforcement, including as a senior prosecutor. Sally Davitt has 20 years’ experience in forensic accounting and expert witness work, with extensive experience in dispute resolution and financial investigations. She will continue to lead KordaMentha’s Sydney team, together with a number of strategic firmwide initiatives. She has experience in both Australia and the UK and has also been with the firm for 12 years. KordaMentha’s Forensic group encompasses a diversity of disciplines including forensic accounting, investigations, data analytics, cyber response, digital forensic, and eDiscovery. The team’s leadership transitions from Brian Wood, who was in the role for six years. Under Brian’s outstanding leadership, KordaMentha Forensic has become a market leader, providing a full suite of forensic services in Asia Pacific. Brian remains a senior partner at KordaMentha and is supporting the transition. Matt and Sally are a strong combination with complementary skills and styles, and we look forward to the continued growth of the Forensic service line under their guidance as clients continue to look for independent advice in this complex area.
