Presented by The Women's Insolvency Network Australia (WINA) NSW and sponsored by Vannin Capital, the award recognises women who have made an outstanding contribution, particularly towards the advancement of the reputation and credibility of women in the industry.

Nominations are sent through by peers and colleagues, with Cassandra joining esteemed company with our own Janna Robertson a past recipient.

Cassandra was nominated and ultimately chosen as the 2016 recipient due to:

  • Her outstanding work on large complex engagements including RiverCity, Cross City Tunnel and most recently Arrium
  • For being an active role model for those in the industry (women and men alike)
  • For acting with integrity, being smart and tenacious, and regularly demonstrating that she can negotiate her way through many a tricky situation
  • Being active in the WINA and wider insolvency/restructuring community, attending events and participating in the WINA annual Great Debate
  • Her willingness to mentor juniors within KordaMentha and the wider industry, providing advice, tips and sharing her experiences.
