Wednesday, 28 June 2017 This makes for interesting reading, especially given the impending Centro class action hearing which starts on Monday (with rumours of potential damages amounts of $200 million). Centro has multiple class actions associated with it, but according to the report is only one of many with different entities or representing different groups of plaintiffs. This report shows that only three payouts to date have been above $100 million (with Multiplex being around the $150 million mark). Most of the others have been a lot smaller, with many less than $10 million (+ costs). It will be interesting to see how whether the Centro case will settle, or whether this turns into the biggest class action yet.
