Thursday, 18 August 2022 KordaMentha partners with Lenovo, helping reduce the firm’s environmental impact. Today, Lenovo announced the launch of its industry-first CO2 offset service for its Australian and New Zealand SMB customers. KordaMentha is one of the first to partner with Lenovo in adopting this tangible environmental action. SMBs contribute 146.5 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per year (38.5% of Australia’s yearly emissions). Lenovo’s new service provides a critical opportunity for SMBs to help reduce their carbon footprint. “The Lenovo CO2 Offset Service will give our SMB customers a unique opportunity to adopt carbon compensation to support a more sustainable future. This is another part of Lenovo’s commitment to operating a globally sustainable business and our transformation into a services company to meet our customers’ needs,” said Matt Codrington, Managing Director, Lenovo Australia and New Zealand. KordaMentha Partner and CIO, Ryan Wadsworth, highlighted the firm’s commitment to reducing its impact through IT consumption and infrastructure. “As an office-based firm, our direct impact on the environment is sometimes not in our control, so we are always looking for solutions and partners to assist us in reducing our environmental impact. The Lenovo CO2 Offset Service is our first carbon offset program implementation at a technology level; this initiative allows us to take meaningful environmental actions, with data-driven outcomes that help us effectively meet and report on our environmental targets.” Lenovo has been KordaMentha’s trusted hardware and data centre services provider for the past five years. The firm is thrilled to execute its first carbon offset program with Lenovo, reinforcing its commitment to improving sustainability and environmental outcomes. Read the full media release here.
