Tony Ford, a Consultant with KordaMentha in Melbourne, spoke with ABC Rural on the risks for companies that import food and what steps they can take to mitigate these risks.

Tony Ford is a food consultant who says companies that import produce from developing or third world countries have to accept that there are risks in doing so. 

Speaking at an Agribusiness Association of Australia conference, he said that companies should employ staff in the countries they imported from.
