Thursday, 9 March 2023 The Sydney hires add considerable depth to the firm’s Real Estate practice. KordaMentha is pleased to announce the appointment of three new specialists to the firm’s Real Estate practice, allowing the team to service the ever-increasing client and investor demands across Australia. Expanding the Sydney Real Estate team complements KordaMentha’s strategy to enhance its development and investment capabilities in New South Wales and builds on the foundations already established in its Melbourne and Brisbane offices. The expansion is spearheaded by the appointment of Tony Massaro as Partner. Tony joins KordaMentha from PwC Australia, where he led the Real Estate Advisory team in Sydney. Paul McNamara and Nicholas Lucas also recently joined the team. Paul joins KordaMentha’s Real Estate team as a Director and Nicholas an Associate Director. The national head of KordaMentha Real Estate, Tom Davis, says the recruitment of the trio adds significant depth to the Real Estate operation: “Tony, Paul and Nicholas all bring invaluable experience across real estate, including specialist knowledge across the aged care and retirement real estate industry, and this will certainly boost KordaMentha’s already strong capabilities.” “Their ability to open doors with the relationships and networks they have formed will allow our firm to continue to improve our offering to our ever-growing client and investor base and expand our development and investment capability.” Tony Massaro co-founded the PwC Real Estate Advisory practice and spent over ten years with the company. Tony brings over twenty years of experience leading and advising public and private sector organisations on property projects across diverse industry sectors, including retirement, aged care, residential, commercial office and industrial. Through his varied roles as both principal (Stockland, ING Real Estate, Ingenia) and advisor (PwC, KordaMentha), Tony has significant experience in running property businesses and advising clients on property matters. Paul McNamara spent eight years in the PwC Real Estate Advisory team. His experience spans project management, development management, capital transaction management and commercial advisory across multiple real estate asset classes. Nicholas Lucas spent five years at PwC managing direct real estate transactions and corporate real estate M&A. Additionally, he provided strategic advice to private, institutional and government clients regarding their property portfolios. Media contact Tim Fogarty | [email protected] | 0400 179 075.
