Tony Massaro

Tony specialises in providing strategic and commercial property advice. He brings over 20 years of experience leading and advising both the public and private sectors on property investments across diverse industry sectors including industrial, residential, retirement, retail, commercial office and student housing.

Through his varied roles as both principal and advisor, Tony has significant experience in both running property businesses and advising clients on property matters.

Significant engagements

• Managed deal origination and negotiation, structuring, due diligence, development planning, and contract negotiations for over $3 billion of property investments, acquisitions and divestments ranging from single assets to large portfolios globally.
• Worked across multiple asset classes including retirement, land lease, aged care, health facilities, residential, industrial, commercial office, student housing, retail, and hotels.
• Originated, structured, risk weighted, negotiated, executed and managed both senior and mezzanine finance of property assets for private equity, corporate, not for profit, and high net worth clients.
• Developed and executed business strategies, property strategic reviews, highest and best use reviews and market overviews.
• As a strategy advisor, managed multiple internal and client teams that have researched competitive landscapes, performed strategic analysis, built financial models, developed presentations and briefed recommendations across a range of industries and asset classes.
