Rahul Goyal and Kate Conneely of KordaMentha Restructuring were appointed Voluntary Administrators of the eyewear brand. They said today the business was preparing for an exciting period of growth domestically, and further expansion into international markets, before its operations were impacted by the current global supply chain disruptions.
KordaMentha was engaged to undertake a diagnostic review of South Australia’s largest public healthcare network, CALHN, a circa $2 billion organisation with five main hospitals.
The review uncovered a broken organisation facing systemic financial, operational and cultural issues. Forecasts indicated the funded position would be exceeded by $274 million.
In response, KordaMentha developed a three-year Organisational and Financial Recovery Plan and were engaged as Administrators to implement the Plan. The Plan was designed to reposition CALHN as a modern, high-functioning network, delivering sustainable care for the community.
Network Ten took steps to restructure the business and improve profitability. Ten’s inability to finalise restructured content agreements led to KordaMentha’s appointment as Voluntary Administrators.
KordaMentha took operational control of Network Ten and restructured the working capital profile of the business, which improved working capital funding by circa $40 million over the forecast period. KordaMentha went on to conduct a sale/recapitalisation process resulting in a successful transaction with the US Studio, CBS.
