The seven-day Brisbane challenge has official raised over $1.5 for children’s charities.

The second ride in the Chain Reaction Challenge calendar saw riders from Brisbane head down to Tasmania for the seven-day event. The peloton worked their way across 1000km from Launceston through the Tasmanian highlands and onto to Hobart, experiencing all of the ups and downs the ride had to offer.

Completing the 1000km journey is a significant accomplishment in itself, however it is the feeling riders get knowing that what they are doing is directly supporting children in need is what is truly rewarding.

This year, this was made even more special with the announcement that the Brisbane challenge had officially raised over $1.5million for charity partners, Traction For Young People and AEIOU Foundation for Children with Autism,  setting the record as the highest fundraising total in Chain Reaction's 15 year history.

“Its an incredible fundraising effort particularly in the environment we’re in and the difficulties that Brisbane and Queensland have had with the floods, its just incredible to see how generous people have been.” said KordaMentha Partner and Chain Reaction Founder Berrick Wilson.
