Earlier this year three Partners were recruited as lateral hires and we are delighted to confirm, effective 1 July, the promotion of nine to Partner across specialist services including, restructuring, recapitalisation, insolvency, cyber, digital forensics, eDiscovery, financial investigations and data analytics. The encouraging number of Partner promotions is reflective of the expanding opportunities seen across KordaMentha nationally. The new Partners are: Restructuring Kate Conneely | Sydney Kate has over 12 years' experience advising her clients, across a diverse range of industries and circumstances, specialising in restructuring, formal insolvency, and expert reports. Her strong technical and project management skills are augmented by in-depth legal knowledge. Andrew Knight | Melbourne Andrew has over 15 years’ experience in the restructuring industry, during which he has carved out a reputation of delivering exceptional client service and outcomes that exceed expectations across diverse industries. He has significant experience in relation to national corporate restructuring projects and formal insolvency engagements. John Mouawad | Sydney John has over 15 years’ experience in the restructuring industry. His calm, thoughtful approach to his engagements, combined with his ability to build confidence and rapport quickly with all stakeholders, ensures he meets his clients’ objectives. Ryan Rabbitt | Sydney Ryan has extensive experience advising clients on restructuring, recapitalisation and mergers and acquisitions transactions in Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe, often in the context of underperformance and/or high leverage. Forensic Sally Davitt | Sydney Sally’s work includes high-profile investigations and court cases within Australia and in the UK, and she has prepared expert evidence for use in proceedings in the Supreme Court of New South Wales. She specialises in financial investigations, quantifying economic loss, and government and regulatory compliance. Ronald Holtshausen | Perth Ronald has over 10 years’ experience in the areas of data analytics, IT security and computer forensics. His technical knowledge and ability to utilise technology on complex, pressurised and time-constrained matters has seen his clients obtain a competitive advantage. Bruce O’Shea | Brisbane With over 15 years’ experience in forensics, Bruce has operated across a broad range of industries and jurisdictions. He combines a calm and measured approach with deep technical expertise to resolve some of the largest and most challenging commercial matters in Australia and Asia. Brendan Read | Brisbane A former detective from the Queensland Police High Tech Crime Investigation Unit, Brendan’s experience in investigating criminal and civil matters helps clients to navigate technologies and their use in the collection and preservation of evidence. Grant Whiteley | Melbourne With over 14 years’ investigative experience combined with over 17 years managing IT infrastructure, Grant has a diverse background in dealing with technology-based issues. His experience and passion for technology allows him to break down complex, technical issues into simple, non-technical advice.
